Captain Sabina leads Bangladesh to dominant win over Nepal
Bangladesh outclassed Nepal 3-0 in their third match of the SAFF Women’s Futsal Championship at the Nonthaburi Stadium in Bangkok on Monday.
Captain Sabina Khatun opened the scoring in the 14th minute, taking her tournament tally to four goals, before Srimoti Krishna Rani Sarkar doubled the lead just five minutes later. In the second half, Lipi Akter’s strike put the game to bed, while goalkeeper Shopna Akter Jili stayed vigilant to ensure Bangladesh end up with a clean sheet and reach the top of the group -- level on 7 points with Pakistan -- among seven teams.
