BFF calls for ‘forensic investigation’ on Jamal issue

The disciplinary committee of the Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) has asked the authorities concerned to conduct a forensic investigation regarding the allegation that involves Saif Sporting Club's captain Jamal Bhiuyan kicking the referee during a Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) fixture on Sunday.

Apart from this issue, Saif SC have been fined Tk 50,000 following the team's misconduct with the referee during their BPL match against Sheikh Russel KC in Munshiganj. Also, Saif SC's event manager was slapped with a Tk 25,000 fine for using offensive language towards the referee.

"The allegation of Jamal Bhuiyan kicking the referee has not been proved even though the referee mentioned it in his report. The disciplinary committee has asked to have a forensic investigation on the Jamal Bhuiyan issue and mentioned that it will take the decision on the basis of the result of the report," BFF general secretary Abu Nayeem Shohag told the reporters after today's meeting at BFF House.
