Bangladesh grouped with Bahrain, Turkmenistan and Malaysia in Asian Cup Qualifiers
Bangladesh have been placed in Group E of AFC Asian Cup Qualifiers alongside Bahrain, Turkmenistan and Malaysia as the draw of the 24-nation qualifying round was held in Kuala Lumpur today.
Malaysia will host Group E matches, scheduled to be played on June 08, 11 and 14, as 24 nations have been divided into six groups with each group featuring four teams.
Bangladesh, who failed to progress to the qualifying round in the last edition after losing to Bhutan in 2016, will take on Bahrain first on June 08 and will play against Turkmenistan and hosts Malaysia on June 11 and 14, respectively, in the upcoming Qualifiers.
This time, six group winners and five best second-placed teams will join Australia, Iran, Iraq, Japan, Korea Republic, Lebanon, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Syria, United Arab Emirates, Vietnam and hosts China in the AFC Asian Cup, scheduled to take place from June 16, 2023.
