The Tigers returned to training today after a short break following their tour of Australia, kicking off preparations for the Asian Games in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan. Wicketkeeper-batter Litton Das will lead the team in the T20 event.

Thirteen of the 15 squad members were present at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur. Pacer Hasan Mahmud has yet to return home from England following his early departure from Kent duty, while left-arm pacer Shoriful Islam is currently on leave. According to BCB sources, Bangladesh will play two practice matches before the Asian Games.

The team will play the quarterfinals directly on September 29, facing a side that advances from the first round. The opponents and dates for the practice matches have yet to be finalised. Alongside the Asian Games squad, pacers Nahid Rana and Taskin Ahmed, who are currently undergoing rehabilitation, also trained separately.
