Domingo arrives in Dhaka ahead of Afghanistan series
Bangladesh national team head coach Russell Domingo arrived in the country today morning ahead of the Tigers' upcoming bilateral three-match ODI and two-match T20I series against Afghanistan.
"I landed in Dhaka today morning. I am doing fine and everything is as usual. Hope to have a good time ahead," said Domingo to The Daily Star upon his arrival.
As informed earlier by the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB), Domingo was set to return from his vacation on February 19. The South African arrived in the country in due time and if he tests negative in his Covid-19 test, Domingo will be going to Chattogram with the team on Sunday for the ODI series.
The first ODI will be underway on February 23. The second and the third and final ODI is scheduled for February 25 and 28, respectively. All the matches will be played at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram.
The two teams will then travel to Dhaka for the T20I series, which will be hosted by the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur. The first game is scheduled for March 3 while the second and final T20I will take place on March 5.
The T20Is will count towards the ICC T20I Rankings, while the ODIs will be part of the ICC Men's Cricket World Cup Super League.
