A Chat With Nabila Mustary
To start off with, could you share with our readers about the nature of your work and the time period of your involvement with it?
I work as an anchor for the TV channel Banglavision. I reckon I can be termed as a new comer in this field; it has just been around a year.
What has been keeping you busy in recent times?
For the time being, apart from my morning slot, as Ramadan is nearing its end, I am also hosting a show based on Eid shopping which is aired on a daily basis at 7 pm. I have also worked for two TV dramas, titled "Ghraan Baba" and "Kufa Rashi", both of which are due to be televised during Eid-ul-Fitr. Besides, I have also worked with a few fashion houses during this festive season.
Given the time span of your involvement with the media, what would you define as the turning point in your advancing career?
Even though my stepping stone into the industry was through a beauty contest titled 'Kumarika Miss Natural' in 2014, I started to gain more recognition after working as a model in a commercial for Diamond World. However, I cannot dismiss the fact that the channel Banglavision has played a rather vital role in my life.
Who would you say you derive inspiration from in the industry?
I would have to say there are two individuals who inspire me enormously. When it comes to hosting, I admire Moon Moon apu a lot. As for modelling, I'm truly intrigued by Mou apu.
With your popularity on the rise, what do you intend to do in the near future?
To be honest, I would like to excel in the field I'm in currently. I want to work hard to my fullest potential and with a wider range of people.
Since you are involved rigorously with the kind of work you do, how do you manage time between work and your loved ones?
At the moment, I am handling it quite smoothly because I'm punctual when it comes to schedules. Apart from that, as I've completed my honours degree, I do not have much to do, so that allows me to dedicate my time respectively among friends, family and work. Besides, I enjoy being submerged in my work.
If you were to prioritize between your anchoring and modelling, how would you do so?
You see, I work as an anchor to develop my career. Besides, it's not a day long job. Whenever I get some free time, I devote that time for modelling. It's more of a passion for me.
Could you share a fact about yourself with our readers which they are unaware of?
Perhaps a lot of those who know me do not know that I'm a rather adaptable person. It's in my nature to adjust with my surrounding with quite ease. Many might think of me as a self-publicist, but actually that is not the case.
