First dengue death of the year reported

At least one dengue patient died yesterday, marking the first dengue-related death this year, while 33 others were hospitalised in the 24 hours until 8:00am.

According to the Directorate General of Health Services, the death was reported in the Rajshahi division.

With the new cases, the total number of dengue infections has risen to 610 this year. Currently, 198 patients are receiving treatment at hospitals across the country.
