New gini attack: Golam Mohiuddin gets bail

A Dhaka court yesterday granted bail to Maj Gen (retd) Golam Mohiuddin Chowdhury in a case filed over the attack at a New Gini Properties housing project in South Manikdi near ECB Chattar.

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Aminul Islam Junayed passed the order.

The court granted him bail on a Tk 2,000 bond until the next scheduled date, according to his lawyers. The next date for submitting the investigation report has been set for October 28.

Mohiuddin was arrested by detectives in Segunbagicha on September 30.

Saiful Islam Bhuiyan, a director of New Gini Properties, filed the case with Cantonment Police Station on September 26.
