Joy renews AL membership

Sajeeb Wazed Joy, the ICT adviser to the prime minister, renewed his party membership today.

With this, the admission and renewal of the party membership campaign of the Awami League in the greater Rangpur division kicked off today.

According to the party constitution, every party member of AL is bound to renew his or her membership every year.

Joy, also the son of PM Sheikh Hasina, joined the party as a primary member in Rangpur on February 25, 2010.

Currently, he is also serving as a member of the convening committee of Rangpur city unit of AL.

The campaign was inaugurated by the AL General Secretary Obaidul Quader at the party's central office in Bangabandhu Avenue.

During the event, Quader emphasised the importance of membership drive to bring more people under party banner.
