2 found dead in Rajshahi

Two persons were found dead in Rajshahi yesterday, said police.

In Rajshahi city, police recovered the tied-up body of Anisur Rahman (70), a night guard of an auto-rickshaw garage in Nawdapara area, after the owner opened the garage in the morning, found the body and informed them, said Officer-in-Charge Saiful Islam of the Shah Makhdum Police Station.

An auto-rickshaw was missing from the garage, he said.

Meanwhile in Godagari upazila, police recovered the body of a fish farmer Masud Rana (45) of Chapal village, from a makeshift house beside a pond.

Officer-in-Charge  Kamrul Islam of Godagari Police Station said Masud and his friend used to cultivate fish in a leased pond in the upazila.

They were sleeping at the house when miscreants attacked them.

They tied them up and stole fish from the waterbody. When other fishers rescued them in the morning, Masud was found dead, the police official added.

Both the bodies were sent to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy, OC Kamrul Islam said.
