English medium schools' cultural events today
The annual “The Daily Star-Chittagong English Medium Schools-2012 Cultural Programme” will be held adjacent to Foy's Lake in Chittagong city at 6:30pm today.
The programme aims at promoting Bangladesh's culture and traditions among students of English medium schools while awarding those who achieved outstanding results in the Ordinary and Advanced Level examinations.
A total 300 students from nine English medium schools of the city will render songs and stage dramas at the event.
Professor Emeritus Alamgir Muhammad Serajuddin will attend the programme as the chief guest.
The participating schools are Cider International School, Bangladesh Elementary School, Bay View School, European Grammar School, Chittagong Grammar School, Little Jewels School, Mastermind International School Chittagong, Summerfields School and College Chittagong and Sunshine Grammar School and College of Chittagong.
