Journalist receives death threat
The district correspondent of the Daily Ittefaq and BTV, SM Shogiqul Islam Kanu received death threat over mobile phone on Thursday night and yesterday morning.
A general diary (GD) regarding the death threat was lodged with the police station yesterday.
Kanu said he filed a case with the sadar police station accusing six criminals in connection with assaulting him and his wife at Mission Crossing in the town on Wednesday night.
In the GD, the journalist said two unidentified callers threatened him to withdraw the case otherwise he and his family members would face life difficulty.
