CU to appoint student counselors
Student guidance counselors will be appointed in every department and institute of Chittagong University (CU), syndicate meeting decided yesterday.
The CU syndicate in its 482nd general meeting, presided over by CU Vice Chancellor (VC) Prof Md Anwarul Azim Arif at his office, took the decision.
To help solve students' problems, the syndicate took such decision, said a syndicate member Prof Dr Mohammad Kamrul Huda.
He, however, said it also accepted the reports submitted by 'Probe Committee' and 'Liaison Committee' formed a day after the clashes between Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) and Islami Chhatra Shibir (ICS) on the campus on February 8.
