Recording of deposition deferred
A Chittagong court yesterday for the sixth time deferred recording of witnesses' deposition in connection with an arson attack in Banshkhali upazila on November 18, 2003 that left 11 members of a minority community burnt alive.
Acting third Additional District and Session Judge Syeda Hosne Ara Begum fixed April 2 as the new date for starting the recording.
Chittagong District Additional Public Prosecutor (PP) Nasir Uddin said the date was deferred due to a High Court stay order on the trial of one of the accused in the case Aminur Rahman Chowdhury alias Amin Chairman.
