Social activists vow to save rivers
Observing the International Day of Action for Rivers, social activists in Sylhet city yesterday vowed to save the country's water bodies and rivers.
Ongikar, Bangladesh organised an oath-taking event on the riverbank of Surma in Kean bridge area.
Veteran social activist Prof Sadaruddin Ahmed Chowdhury, also founder vice-chancellor of Shahjalal University of Science & Technology and chief of Bapa, Sylhet chapter, conducted the oath.
