Man 'kills himself' in city
A retired official of Bangladesh Chemical Industries Corporation (BCIC) allegedly took his life by hanging himself at his residence in the city's Moghbazar yesterday.
Police recovered the hanging body of Sirajul Islam, 60, from the bathroom of his house at east Nayatola of the area in the morning.
Sirajul hanged himself from the pipe of the shower with a long towel.
The police recovered a note from the victim's bedroom that says he has committed suicide as his physical condition had been deteriorating day by day.
Quoting Sirajul's family members, Shah Alam, sub inspector of Ramna Police Station, said Sirajul had been suffering from various illnesses for the last few years.
