Akhoni launches digital marketing
Few weeks ago a friend of mine was almost dying to get a membership of a gym. He wasn't ready to spend a lot for it though. Few days later he phoned me excitedly. He found a gym with a discounted deal through a website. It offers different deals too.
I wanted to check it out myself. So I logged on to the site akhoni.com. The website has the best deal showing on the home page and has an image of a jammed street of Dhaka on its background.
Traffic jam makes us lose interest of going anywhere, be it to shopping, eating out or any other places to have some good time.
May be the background image is there to tell us that they know what we go through and they are here to ease our irritation a bit.
Akhoni.com offers discounted deals with various popular businesses like internet services, luxurious restaurants, hotels, transports, beauty parlours, fashion houses, theme parks, gymnasiums, furniture shops, sports and recreation centres, movies, travel and a lot more.
The online marketplace rolls out a new deal every week and gives you seven days to buy it.
Their last few deals include Gold's Gym, The Cream and the Fudge Factory, set menu at The 8, Reera Thai Beauty Salon and Spa, DJ party at water kingdom and more.
From Akhoni.com you will not only have good deals but also get to know about places you didn't know. Like I didn't know that there is a traditional Thai massage parlour here.
It offers discounted deals up to 90 per cent.
The site asks you to sign up to get regular deal alerts through email. There are two options for buying the deals -- you can either buy any deal by making payments instantly through Visa, Mastercard or DBBL nexus card or you can pay after having the discount coupon delivered to you. Officials of the site said that they don't charge anything for delivery.
You can get your deal voucher instantly on the site or by email if you buy it through cards.
You just have to show the voucher to merchants to enjoy the discount.
"Usually a coupon stays valid up to 2-3 months. You can purchase a deal from Akhoni.com website up till we feature the deal in our site. We are currently featuring deals for 7 days in our site. Once a customer buys a deal, he/she can use the coupon within 2-3 months period. The customer is informed about the time period ahead," said Shameem Ahsan, co-founder and CEO of Akhoni.com.
He also said transactions through cards are absolutely safe and it is carried out by the banks.
Ahsan said Akhoni.com through its different marketing tools- promotes the businesses of its clients. Promotion of products and services to the customers who might be interested to avail the offering ensures new purchases for the clients. This way, consumers get to try different offerings at discounted price and willingly purchase merchants' offerings which they might not have tried otherwise.
This win-win business model is, hopefully, going to be the "next big thing" in the context of Digital Bangladesh, he added.
