Teenage girl gang-raped
A 15-year-old girl was gang-raped in Zero Mile area under Sadar upazila on Sunday. Daughter of late Abdul Khaleq, she hailed from Bogachhari area of Naniarchar upazila in Rangamati district. According to the victim, she went to Zero Mile from Bogachhari by a bus at about 1:20am Sunday. There she was waiting for her brother Sagar to take her to Matiranga upazila of Khagrachhari district. Meanwhile, a gang posing as Sagar's friends asked her to go with them. But they took her to a lonely house in Zero Mile area and raped her. She was rescued by local police yesterday morning. Officer-in-charge (OC) of Khagrachhari Sadar police station Abul Kalam Azad said, they arrested one Md Jalil, 28, son of Ruhul Amin of Gangapara area in this connection.
