Schoolboy drowns in Dinajpur
A schoolboy drowned in the river in Phulbari upazila yesterday morning.
The victim, Bayezid Bostami, 16, son of Md Mozaffar Hossain of village Suzalpur, was a class ten student of Suzalpur High School, family sources said.
They said Bayezid along with his friends went to the bank of the Chhoto Jamuna for playing football. At one stage, the ball fell in the river.
As Shuvo, a friend of Bayezid, tried to fetch the ball, he slipped into the river.
Bayezid, however rescued Shuvo. But he again got into the river and went under water. Fishermen found the body floating on the river in the afternoon and recovered it, family sources said.
