Lightning kills 2 in Barisal
Lightning killed a mother and her son and injured another member of the family at Uttar Baliakhali village in Muladi upazila yesterday.
The deceased were identified as Jahanara Begum, 45, wife of Yusuf.
Khandaker and their son Lokman Hossain, 12. The injured is Bithi Begum, 18, daughter-in-law of Yusuf.
The three were struck by a thunderbolt while working in the courtyard of their house in the afternoon.
Injured Bithi is now undergoing treatment at the upazila health complex.
