Thakurgaon civil surgeon files GD against Jubo League leader
Civil Surgeon of Thakurgaon Dr Lokman Ali has filed a general diary (GD) with Thakurgaon Police Station against Pirganj Upazila Jubo League President Mohammad Shajahan for giving him death threat over cell phone.
"Upazila Jubo League President Mohammad Shajahan made a call from mobile No 01718617589 at about 1:30pm on September 23 when I was in a meeting at IEDCR at Mohakhali in Dhaka. Shajahan rebuked me and threatened to kill me," Dr Lokman Ali said in his complaint filed on Tuesday evening.
On Tuesday CS reached at Thakurgaon from Dhaka after official works and filed a GD with Thakurgaon Police Station, CS said.
When contacted over cell phone, upazila Jubo League President Mohammad Shajahan denied the matter and told this correspondent, "I made a call for establishing a community clinic at my village. The allegation against me is a conspiracy to tarnish my image."
"We have already started investigation into the matter," Officer in Charge of Thakurgaon Police Station Gopal Chakrabarti told this correspondent over cell phone.
