Activities at Benapole resume
Export-import through Benapole land port resumed yesterday morning after a day's halt.
Trading through the land port remained suspended on Saturday after an Indian truck driver beat up an Indian border guard on the Indian side.
Seventy truckloads of goods entered Bangladesh through the land port from India while 40 truckloads of goods were exported to the country till filing of this report yesterday afternoon.
Petrapole C&F Association official Kartik Chandra Dey said the truck drivers joined their work yesterday after fruitful meetings with customs, Bangaon police and administrative officials.
