Fratricide
A man was killed allegedly by his younger brother over family feud at Kandiura village in Kendua municipal area yesterday morning.
The victim was identified as Tajul Islam, 60, of the village.
Police and local people said there was a longstanding enmity between Tajul Islam and his younger brother Abu Zahar, 25, over sharing of landed property.
At about 8:30am an altercation ensued between the two brothers and at one stage Zaher hit Tajul with a sharp weapon, killing him on the spot.
