Conclusions

Sangita Ahmed
Conclusions transform like night to day Pink sunrise to blue moon light Life's conclusions cannot be concluded Ever changing from happiness to sadness Laughter to tears Love to confusion Give me a ground to stand on To look at the constant sky Be part of the twilight that never leaves Not the inconsistent moon Let me lie on the soft grass and stare Into the millions of stars That look down on me My waves The ebb and flow of my emotions The change of thoughts Life is tiring, the changes wear me down I crave for consistency Additions and subtractions Created by inconsistent man Change in the head Two and two become five If you say so Plus and minus are man made Creations come and leave Then why this pain, this fear? Why cravings for things that are about to end? Love that is menial? Beauty blinds the eye The sunrays dazzle Until you start to believe Then all of a sudden The light starts to fade The mind boggles Was that a lie then? It had promised to be there Forever Noting can stop the tide and the ebb No amount of love or imaginings Thoughts are for idiots The truth mocks belief Pulling away the hard ground From under the happy feet Leaving you wondering, What next? I crave the ground where There is eternity The ground that was like my mother's love The cocoon where I can rest in peace Warmth, love, trust Hold my hand So I do not fear what lies ahead I am weary, I beg for rest
