Murder at hotel
President of Khulna chapter of Stranded Pakistanis General Repatriation Committee (SPGRC) Sheikh Mujibar Rahman, 65, was killed at about 3am yesterday at residential Khulna Hotel at Helatala under Sadar police station. Police on receipt of information recovered his slaughtered body from a toilet in the third floor of the hotel. Police said that the deceased had served for ten years as chief security guard and caretaker of the hotel owned by a businessman who permanently lives in Dhaka. Two suspected extremists were arrested by police from a room in the third floor of the hotel. The arrestees were identified as Amanur Rahman, 30, of Kushtia town and Saifuddin Ahmed, 24, of Maheshpur upazila of Jhenaidah district.
