Agitation in Habiganj
The UNO office, upazila primary education office and the upazila chairman's office in Bahubal upazila in Habiganj were besieged yesterday to press for cancellation of the 'illegal' appointment of 18 teachers.
The protesters also handed over a memorandum demanding immediate steps for scrapping the appointments done in violation of the government rules.
They alleged the 18 people from Bagerhat, Tangail, Narail and other districts were picked against the quota of Habiganj district.
