Toxic liquor kills 4
Four men have died after taking homemade liquor at Manirampur Bagdipara in Shahjadpur upazila. Locals and police said Adivasi Samobay Samity president Tapan Das, secretary Chandi Das and their associates Joytish Das, Mono Das and Wajed Ali, all in 40s, fell ill after taking toxic liquor on upazila parishad premises on Monday night. Their families took them to different hospitals. But Tapan Das and Chandi Das died on way to Sirajganj General Hospital at about 9pm Tuesday and Wajed Ali died at about 11pm after admission to the hospital. Joytish Das died in Pabna General Hospital where Mono Das was still in a serious condition.
