Bodies of 4 young men, teenage girl recovered
Bodies of four youths and a teenage girl, allegedly murdered in separate incidents in five districts, were recovered on Tuesday.
In Kurigram, body of a youth was recovered from a paddy field near Pairadanga Bazar in Nageshwari upazila, reports our correspondent.
Victim Faruq Hossain, 32, was son of Abul Hossain of village Shinger Bhita of Hasnabad union under the upazila.
According to police and locals Faruk worked as a mason at a welding-shop at the Pairadanga Bazar. At about 8.00am on Tuesday, a local found his body in a paddy field.
Police suspect Faruk was strangled and dumped into the paddy field.
OC of Nageshwari police station Md. Manjur Rahman said the victim's father filled a case in this connection.
Faridpur Kotwali police recovered the body of a young man, aged about 30, from the town protection embankment at Gopalkhar village of Char Madhabdia union under Sadar upazila on Tuesday, reports our correspondent.
Local saw the body in the morning and informed police.
Criminals slit the throat of the young man with sharp weapon, SI of Kotwali PS Abul Bashar Miah said.
Another body of an unidentified young man, aged about 30, was recovered from Medibill water body under Kalmakanda upazila in Netrakona Tuesday morning, reports our correspondent.
Kalmakanda police said, local people saw the floating body and informed the police.
Police said, the youth was killed with sharp weapons.
In Keraniganj, police recovered the body of a young man after seven days of his abduction from a pond at Shuvadda Uttarpara on Tuesday, reports UNB.
The victim was identified as Nayan, 25, son of Shamsul Alam, a resident of Shuvadda.
Police said criminals abducted Nayan on the night of September 13 from his house and since then he remained missing.
Locals found his floating body, packed in a bag, in the pond and informed the police at noon.
In Khulna, local people found the floating body of a young girl in a lake in Dighalia upazila on Tuesday morning.
On information, police recovered the body of the unidentified girl, aged about 18. They sent the body that bore some injury marks to Khulna Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy.
Police suspected that criminals killed her elsewhere after rape and later dumped the body into the local Hijaltola Lake on Monday night.
