Jamaat office ransacked
Criminials ransacked the municipal office of Jamaat-e-Islami at Kazipara in the town yesterday afternoon.
Locals said, a gang numbering 20 to 25 entered the Jamaat office at around 2 pm by breaking open the lock and looted some furniture.
On information at 3 pm, a team of police rushed to the spot but sensing the presence of police the gang fled the scene.
Contacted, Brahmanbaria district unit general secretary of Jamaat Syed Golam Sarwar said filing of a case was under process.
Brahmanbaria Sadar police station OC Md. Hamidul Islam told this correspondent that no case was filed till 6:30 pm yesterday.
