Stalker sued in Satkhira, 6 held in Lalmonirhat
A general diary (GD) was filed against an alleged stalker with Satkhira Sadar Police Station yesterday while law enforcers arrested six stalkers in front of a girls' high school in Lalmonirhat town the day before.
Abdul Jalil, father of Mira, 20, of Sultanpur village under Satkhira Sadar Police Station filed the GD against Siddiqur Rahman, 27, of Palashpole village of the same upazila, reports our correspondent.
Jalil alleged that Siddique has been stalking his daughter since July this year and recently he gave an indecent proposal to her over cellphone.
In the GD, Jalil sought security of his daughter and punishment to the culprit.
Contacted, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Sadar Police Station Shah Jahan Khan said they will take action against the accused after proper investigation.
According to a correspondent, police picked up six stalkers from in front of Lalmonirhat Government Girls' High School in the town on Monday.
The law enforcers raided the area at around 2:30pm and arrested the six while they were stalking some students of the school.
The arrestees are Nayeem Shaikh, 14, son of Abu Sayeed Shaikh of Thana para in Lalmonirhat town, Touhidul Islam Jhony,18, son of Belal Hossain of Jummapara in the town, Nurunnabi, 15, son of Rajob Ali of Khochabari in the town, Atiqul Islam, 17, son of Abdul Khaleque of Driverpara in the town, Abul Bashar alias Kashem,18, son of Chnadu Miah of BDR hat in the town, and Robiul Islam Robi,17, son of Motiur Rahman of Khordo Saptana in the town.
