Two sisters commit 'suicide'
Two sisters allegedly committed suicide by taking sleeping pills at Chakrampur village in Shibganj upazila Thursday night.
The deceased were identified as Rubi Khatun, 25, wife of Ashraf Ali and her younger sister Rumi Khatun,20, wife of Laizu Mia of Gobindaganj upazila in Gaibandha also the daughters of Azizar Rahman of the Chakrampur village.
Local people said the two siblings Rubi and Rumi recently came to visit their father's house. On the fateful night, following a quarrel over a trifling matter with their parents, they took excess sleeping pills and fell seriously ill.
They were rushed to Bogra Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College Hospital where they died after sometime.
