Worsening floods adds to their woe: 1) A woman of a marooned family in Charkatari union in Doulatpur upazila of Manikganj district does her cooking on a bamboo platform, 2) People collect drinking water from a nearly submerged tube-well at remote Kharjani village in Kamarjani union of Gaibandha Sadar upazila, 3) A man rows haystack through floodwater in Islampur upazila of Jamalpur district, 4) A woman with her child wade through chest-deep water at Ranigram in Sirajganj municipality, 5) Breach in a newly built embankment at Taltala in Dakope upazila of Khulna district causes inundation of nearby areas, and 6) Sudden rise in the water level of the Padma floods Panchabati in Rajshahi city.
