The body of Nazmul Haq of Paikpara village in Almadanga upazila was exhumed on Tuesday while the body of Nur Uddin of Satgari village in Sadar upazila yesterday in presence of first class magistrate Tanvir Mohammad Azim of Chuadanga
On complaints of the victims' families, a Chuadanga court ordered the police to exhume the bodies for investigation into the deaths. After taking samples and necessary examinations at Chuadanga Sadar Hospital, the bodies were again buried.
Dr Ali Hossain, resident medical officer (RMO) of Chuadanga Sadar Hospital, told this correspondent that samples taken from the bodies would be sent to Dhaka for DNA tests.
According to police, Nazmul went missing on August 2 and his body was found at Paikpara field the following day.
Police initially suspected that Nazmul committed 'suicide' as a bottle containing poison and sleeping pills were found on the spot. He was buried on the same day without any post-mortem examination.
On August 18, Nazmul's elder brother Hasibul Haq filed a murder case with Chuadanga Chief Judicial Magistrate's Court against his neighbour Anwar Hossain and his two sons.
Nazmul was killed for his love affair with Anwar's daughter and to prove the matter as suicide, the bottle containing poison and sleeping pills were kept there, Hasibul alleged in his case statement.
The complainant further stated that police pressed them to burry Nazmul's body without autopsy.
Another victim Nur Uddin was found lying in an unconscious state on rail track at Panchpokect area of Poradah on August 14.
On information, Poradah railway police rushed to the spot and sent him to Chuadanga Sadar Hospital. Nur was later referred to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) where he died on August 16.
On August 18, Nur's mother Janifa Begum filed a murder case with the Chief judicial magistrate court against her daughter's ex-husband Rokon, his friends Rabbi and Tuku.
