Workers agitate for bonus
The workers of Talukder Pipe and Plastic at Rajerhat on the outskirts of Jessore town vandalsed the unit and set fire to it on Monday evening as the authorities did not pay heed to their demand for Eid bonus. On information, fire fighters from the district town rushed to the spot and extinguished the blaze. Sources said the workers of the industry have been demanding Eid bonus for the last 15 days. As the authorities refused to give them bonus in the morning, they went on the rampage.
