9,000 litres fake petrol seized in Jessore
A team of Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) seized 9,000 litres of fake petrol from a tank lorry at Mohakal village near Jessore-Khulna highway in Abhoyanagar upazila early Friday.
Acting on a tip-off, members of Rab-6 raided Alia Filing Station and arrested its manager.
On his confession, the elite force seized 9,000 litres of fake petrol from a tank lorry.
Later, a taskforce led by the UNO of Abhoyanagar upazila visited the spot and seized the tank lorry.
The filling station was fined Tk 1 lakh while tank lorry handed over to the police.
