Charges framed against 3 Indians
A Khagrachhari court yesterday framed charges against three Indian nationals in a case for their illegal entry into Bangladesh.
Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate M M Tariqul Islam read out the charges in presence of the trespassers who pleaded not guilty.
The Indians, arrested on July I this year in Khagachhar hospital gate area, are Asam Pankhoya, 27, son of Ram Pankhoya, Alex Pankhoya, 26, son of Chungwa Pankhoya and Tingkui Pankhoya, 28, son of Khenmu Pankhoya. They all hail from Manipur State of India.
Court sources said following a submission by Sub-Inspector Mohammad Akhtaruzzaman of Sadar Police Station, the court framed charges against the Indians under Section 4 of Control of Entry Act, 1952. The court fixed September 21 for next hearing, sources added.
