Two 'thieves' beaten to death
Two alleged thieves were beaten to death by a mob at Nayakandi village in Chandina upazila early yesterday.
The identity of the thieves could not be known immediately.
Police said the two thieves entered the house of Mostafa Kamal, a marine officer, by cutting a hole through the floor at about 2 am.
Sensing their presence, as the house members raised a hue and cry. The neighbours chased the thieves and caught them near Rani Chara Govt. Primary School.
The mob gave them a good thrashing, leaving both dead on the spot.
