13 sued on charge of killing FF in Khulna
Thirteen people have been sued for killing a freedom fighter (FF) during the liberation war in 1971.
A petition case was filed on Wednesday by one Aleya Begum accusing the 13 in the court of Senior Judicial Magistrate of Bagerhat Md Rakibul Islam.
The court ordered officer-in-charge (OC) of Morrelganj police station to record a regular case after proper investigation into the allegation of the complainant.
The complainant stated in her petition her freedom fighter father Yusuf Sheikh of Telighati village under Morrelganj upazila in Bagerhat was shot dead on the night of November 20 in 1971 at Gazalia bazar.
The accused killed several other freedom fighters at the same time on the same day and later set their houses on fire, the complainant said in her petition case.
The accused are Ukiluddin Sheikh, Nura Shikder, Mokser Didar, Asman Didar, Rustam Molla, Idris Molla, Ensaf Didar, Syed Ali, Kalam Molla, Imam Sheikh, Moktar Howlader, Zafar Ali and Karim Didar.
