Horrific tale of a 'child abuser'
Mobarak Ali Gazi, 45, of Bondokati village under Kaliganj upazila of Satkhira district confessed to killing five girl children after rape in the last 12 years.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Kaliganj Police Station Farid Uddin said Mubarak also confessed to raping 50 other girls at two villages--Bondokati and Ramnagar--in the upazila during the period.
Locals caught Mubarak on May 7 for violating a four-year-old girl at Bondokati village on the night of May 6 and handed him over to the police. Victims father also filed a case against Mubarak with Kaliganj Police Station the same day.
Police produced Mubarak in a Satkhira court that placed him on a three-day remand from May 8.
OC Farid Uddin said they have so far received six more allegations of raping girl children against Mubarak. The complainants are Ramesa Khatun, Mokhsed Ali, Sushani Mistri, Barek Gazi, Rashed Gazi and Sabina Pravin of Bondokati village.
They complainants demanded exemplary punishment to the culprit and five of them accused Mubarak of killing their children after rape, the OC said.
