8 cocktails recovered
Eight cocktails were found outside the boundary wall of a house at Khalipapara in Rangpur town on Monday night. On information, police went to the area at around 11:30pm, recovered the cocktails and took them to Kotwali Police Station. Cable operator Shanti Kaderi, also the general secretary of Jubo Shanghati Rangpur town unit, had been living in the rented house. Police suspected that the cocktails were brought there by any of the two rival groups belonging to two cable service providers, Shanti Kaderi and his business rival Shaheen, who clashed in Dhap-Khalipapara area on April 25. Shanti and his family left the house recently. As his wife went to the house on Monday night to bring furniture, she found the cocktails in a carton beside the wall and immediately informed the police. Shanti said, “Shaheen brought the cocktails and kept them beside the wall of the house to implicate me in a false case".
