Housewife commits 'suicide'
A housewife allegedly committed suicide by hanging herself at her room at Sarnakhola village in Naria upazila Friday night. The deceased was identified as Sweety, 18, daughter of Jabbar Sarder of the village. Family sources said Sweety's mother-in-law Rezia Begum rebuked her harshly for returning home late after attending a marriage ceremony. Angered by the insulting remarks she committed suicide at midnight. On information, police recovered the body and sent it to Sadar hospital morgue for autopsy. A UD case filed.
