Prisoner dies in Sylhet
An under-trial prisoner of Sylhet Central Jail died at Sylhet Osmani Medical College and Hospital Thursday. The deceased was identified as Shafiul Alam, 24, son of Mojaher Ahmed of Bouyakhali village in Cox's Bazar Sadar upazila. Hospital sources said on April 27 Shafiul was shifted to Sylhet jail from Chittagong jail. He fell seriously ill on May 11 and the jail authorities sent him to the hospital where he died at about 11:00 am on Thursday. After post-mortem the body was handed over to his family members.
