Diarrhoea in Narail
Diarrhoea has broken out in the district town and in rural areas in an epidemic form. Doctors said due to drought and scorching heat of the sun the disease spread out alarmingly in the district. Huge number of diarrhoea patients from far-flung areas are coming to Sadar hospital daily. Sources said upazila health complexes are full of diarrhoea patients, most of whom are children. Due to lack of accommodation in the diarrhoea ward of Sadar hospital, patients are being treated in the open space under canopy. Even the hospital is facing problem to treat the increasing number of patients due to acute scarcity of oral saline packets and other necessary medicines.
