Rejoinder
The deputy commissioner and the superintendent of police of Bogra in separate rejoinders have denied issuing orders for arrest of four political leaders in Bogra as reported on page 13 of The Daily Star on April 7 headlined “Bogra DC finally orders arrest of four leaders.”
It was stated in the report that Bogra DC had ordered arrest of four leaders of the ruling Awami League's associate bodies as they brought 'corruption' charges against him.
In the rejoinder, the DC denied ordering police to arrest the leaders and stated that no case was filed against them.
