5 missing as trawler capsizes
At least five people went missing as a trawler capsized in Sandwip Channel in Hatia upazila yesterday. The missing people are Zahir Uddin, 30, Anowar Hossain, 45, Rahim Uddin, 45, Helal, 40, and Nabi, 35. Sources said the trawler, MV Khwajanur, was carrying goods from Chittagong to Hatia in the afternoon. Suddenly, it hit a shoal and sank in the channel. Six out of 11 boatmen swam ashore while the rest remained missing as of 7:00pm yesterday.
