Five more die of dengue, 1,139 hospitalised in a day

At least five dengue patients died while 1,139 others were hospitalised in 24 hours till 8:00am today.

According to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), among the deaths, two each were reported from Dhaka South City Corporation and Mymensingh division, while one from the Dhaka North City Corporation area.

With the new deaths and cases, the total number of dengue-related deaths this year rose to 336, while total cases rose to 84,997.

Currently, 3,219 dengue patients are undergoing treatment at different hospitals across the country.
