Vaccination of slum residents starts from Dhaka’s Korail

Star Digital Report

The campaign to inoculate residents of slums, aged 18 and above, against Covid-19 started this morning at Dhaka's Korail slum.

Following on-the-spot registration, residents of the slum are receiving the vaccine.

While visiting Palli Bandhu Ershad Bidyaloy, one of the vaccination centres, our photojournalist Amran Hossain found that residents of the slum were turning up with much enthusiasm.

Men and women were seen standing in long queues on the premises of the school to receive the vaccine.

The campaign will later be expanded to more slums in Dhaka and other cities, Health Minister Zahid Maleque announced yesterday.
