No Covid-19 death in 24 hours since April 2020
No Covid-19 death was reported in 24 hours (till 8am today), according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
Since the pandemic began in March last year, in Bangladesh, only April 3, 2020 saw no Covid-19 death recorded during a 24-hour period.
At least, 178 new infections from Covid-19 were recorded in 24 hours, till 8am today.
With the new cases, the total number of infected people from the virus in the country now stands at 15,73,889.
The total number of Covid-19 deaths in the country is 27,946 and the death rate is 1.78 percent.
The current positivity rate is 1.18 percent while the total positivity rate stands at 14.70 percent.
A total of 15,107 samples were tested across the country in the 24 hours.
At least 190 Covid-19 patients have recovered during the period.
The total number of recoveries now stands at 15,38,006 and the recovery rate at 97.72 percent, added the release.
