Covid-19 positivity rate now below 4%

At least 897 new infections were recorded and four people died from Covid-19 in 24 hours till 8:00 am today, said a press release issued by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

The current positivity rate is 3.65 percent while the total positivity rate stands at 14.50 percent.

The total number of Covid-19 deaths in the country now stands at 29,037 and the mortality rate stands at 1.49 percent. Meanwhile, the total number of cases rose to 19,43,577, added the release.

A total of 24,605 samples were tested across the country in the 24 hours.

At least 7,976 patients have recovered from Covid-19 during the period. The total number of recoveries now stands at 18,14,665 and the recovery rate at 93.37 percent, added the release.

Of the four deceased, two were male and two were female.

Of them, one was between 31-40 , one between 41-50, 1 between 51-60 and 1 within 61-70 years old, added the release.
