Covid-19: 1 death recorded in 24 hours

At least 323 new infections were recorded and one person died from Covid-19 in 24 hours till 8 am today, said a press release issued by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

The current positivity rate is 1.97 percent while the total positivity rate stands at 14.34 percent.

The total number of Covid-19 deaths in the country now stands at 29,097 and the mortality rate stands at 1.49 percent. Meanwhile, the total number of cases rose to 19,48,471, added the release.

A total of 16,370 samples were tested across the country in the 24 hours.

At least 2,824 patients have recovered from Covid-19 during the period. The total number of recoveries now stands at 18,52,770 and the recovery rate at 95.09 percent, added the release.

The lone deceased was man, aged between 51-60, added the release.
